June Exhibit - Paintings by Anne Pingpank, Marianne Flynn & Amy Conover

 Date: 6/3/2017
 Starting Time: 9:00:00 AM
 Ending Time: 4:00:00 PM

The artwork of three accomplished Connecticut artists will be highlighted in the Spear Community Art Gallery during the month of June.

Anne Pingpank's work is inspired by the landscape and seascapes of New England, Italy, and Ireland. She is drawn to dramatic stormy cloud patterns, shapes and colors and the resulting effects on the landscape. Her work is represented consistently in juried shows throughout central Connecticut. She earned her B.A. in Art from Notre Dame of Maryland University and her M.S. in Art Education from Central Connecticut State University, and has done graduate study at the Maryland Institute College of Art and Hartford Art School.

Amy Conover is an active Connecticut and Maine painter. A resident of Simsbury and a summer resident of Camden, Maine, her paintings have been informed by the landscapes, structures, gardens and light of New England. She is a fine arts graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and had a career as a fashion designer in New York in the 1970's and '80's.

Marianne Flyn focuses on the beauty of the natural world in her work, working primarily in oil. She moved to Simsbury from New Yrok 35 years ago after working in the educational and independent film industry. An artist for over 20 years, she studies at the West Hartford Art League, where she is a member, and Hartford School of Art at University of Hartford.
